As the world's first hotel rewards program for businesses, Starwood Preferred Business presents an amazing opportunity for your small to midsize clients, which may never have been eligible for special recognition or access to discounted rates in the past.
As members, your clients and their employees have access to our Best Retail Unrestricted* Rate and will enjoy unprecedented benefits, including one Starpoint for each eligible U.S. dollar spent at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.
Please note: You may book any published rate and your clients will still receive their program benefits.
How to Enroll Your Clients:
After you have discussed the program with your client, complete the online enrollment form. Please be sure to fill out the special section for travel agents. Note: You must submit a separate enrollment for each client. You do not have to enroll all of your clients in the program.
- You will need to obtain specific information from your client, including the primary contact's name, address, email address, etc. (Please refer to the enrollment form for a complete list of questions.)
- Click on the "submit" button once the form is complete.
- Within 7-10 business days, you will receive a welcome email that includes a Corporate Discount (SET) number for your client, a rate access code and instructions on how to register your client's employees.
Please note: After the company is enrolled, the company's traveling employees must join Starwood Preferred Guest® and be linked to the company account. The company account only earns Starpoints® for those employees who provide their Starwood Preferred Guest membership number at time of reservation or stay, and are linked to the company account.
Eligibility and Rates:
Your client must be a legal corporate entity registered with the government of its country and have a valid tax ID number, business number or other equivalent documentation. Clubs, social groups, etc. are not eligible. The company must have a minimum of 50 room nights at Starwood hotels per year, in addition to a minimum of five active travelers. If your client is larger, it may qualify for another sales program. Clients participating in Starwood's SET Preferred or Global Preference sales programs do not qualify for Starwood Preferred Business.
*Best Retail Unrestricted Rate available generally refers to those rates without special deposit policies, cancellation policies, date restrictions, pre-paid special offers or advance purchase. Specific rate plans included in the floating rates search are RACK, COR and BAR1-10.
Preferred Business members have access to the Best Retail Unrestricted Rate. To access the rates in GDS, you will need to use a rate access code that will be sent to you after you enroll your client in the program.
You may still book other published rates, which are commissionable where applicable, for your clients. Furthermore, if your client has consolidated volume (25 or more stays) at one or more hotels, you may also negotiate for additional discounts at those individual properties. Your client will receive its Starwood Preferred Business rewards on any rate that you book.
Please note: Third-party site bookings, such as Expedia.com, Priceline.com, etc. do not earn Starpoints.
